Media & appearances

In June 2023 I spoke at the Britain and the World Conference on the subject of modernist sculptor Jacob Epstein and his work with Black and WoC muses, as part of a strand of my research that explores the lives and labours of Black art models. This paper is currently being prepared for publication.

In 2021 I spoke at the Women's History Network seminar meeting on black women's experiences of performing beauty and ugliness and beauty in the nineteenth century.

Also in 2021 I joined the James Weldon Johnson Institute at Emory University for their Race & Difference Colloquium Series. You can view the recording below:

I recently guested on the British Library's Unfinished Business podcast, part of their exhibition Unfinished Business: the Fight for Women's Rights where I was interviewed by Ade Hassan, founder of Nubian Skin

I've also been interviewed by Viv Groskop for her wonderful and generous How to Own the Room podcast, which asks women from all walks of life about how they mastered public speaking.
